The Small Press list

These small presses were recommended to me.
I am defining Small Press as presses that you submit to who publish in a similar traditional manner to the big five whose human numbers (as far as I can tell) are in single figures. It’s only my definition but I sometimes say if you fit in one regular sized car.
If you follow me on BlueSky my small press starter pack definition was defined by the people themselves and contains hybrid publishers and non book publications. In other words if you declared yourself small press I took your word for it.
This list is in no particular order.

Space Wizard Fantasy
Mainly science fiction and fantasy incorporating diverse authors. Books range from MG to adult. The website has several search options to help you find what you are looking for. Books can be bought direct.
Burning Chair
This publisher covers a range of genres. Thriller, Historical and Fantasy are the big hitters. Some books come under more than one category. An easy to navigate website with purchase links.
Rowan Prose Publishing
Romance, women’s fiction, mystery, cozy mystery, thriller. Fantasy and horror. Friendly website with purchase links. Check out the Readers section.
Luna Press Publishing
Science fiction, fantasy and dark fantasy. Shop is organised into categories. Lots of stuff on their site.
Flame Tree Press
Horror, supernatural, crime, mystery thrillers, science fiction and fantasy. Books and various forms of merch. There is a search function, but it seems mainly click and scroll.
Tiny Ghost Press
Queer YA fiction and new adult romance which is, unsurprisingly, spooky. They also sell merch on their atmospheric website. It’s a click and scroll experience to find stuff.
Tramp Press
Writers from or living in Ireland. Fiction and narrative non-fiction. Very clean and clear site which is easy to navigate. There are sorting options in their shop.
Fly on the Wall
A press with a social conscience. They support various charities. Novels, short stories, anthologies, poetry, non-fiction. Book subscriptions, bundles and gift cards available.
I will mention City Owl Press which was also recommended to me but had larger people numbers (as far as I could tell).
